Deep Water Aqua Running

New This Season!

Ages 18+ (under 18 with permission of instructor).  Aqua jogging, also known as deep water running, is a form of cardiovascular exercise that mimics the motion of jogging while in the water.  In this 45-minute class you will do aqua jogging by running laps in the 12-foot diving well as you continuously use your arms, hips and legs.  Participants must be comfortable in deep water.  Wearing a water belt/flotation device is recommended, but not required.

Benefits include: impact free workout; water is denser than air, so you work harder and burn more calories; the pressure of the water helps your heart pump blood around your body; participants are able to go at their own pace and there is no pressure to 'go fast' and put extra stress on your joints.
